Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a repeater small-sized by amplifying only one fibre of each repeater, in a multi-core fibre cable transmission line. CONSTITUTION:The light repeaters 21-24 are arranged at intervals of 60-70km, and each repeater is connected by light cables 11-15. In the repeater 21, only the light signal of 1 core system is amplified, and a light signal of other core system is made to pass through. In the same way as the foregoing, in the repeater 22, the repeater 23 and the repeater 24, only the light signals of 2 core system, 3 core system and 4 core system are amplified, respectively.
