Abstract

CONSTITUTION: The condensation reaction between des-B30-insulin, where the arginine in the 22 position of the B chain is modified with a protecting group and the amino acid in the 30 position of the B chain is lack, and a L-threonine derivative of Thr(R1)(R2) (Thr is L-threonine residue; R1 is H, or protecting group for hydroxyl; R2 is protecting group for carboxyl) is conducted in the presence of tripsin or tripsinlike enzyme, such as a tripsinlike enzyme extracted from Streptomyces bacterium and then protecting groups are removed.
