Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the squeezing effect, by forming the surface to be press-fitted to the photoreceptor surface with pressure-sensitive anisotropic conductive rubber so as to apply bias voltages of different polarities simultaneously on the same roller. CONSTITUTION:In a liquid developing device, the outermost layer 2 of a squeeze roller 1 provided before a transfer device 12 is made of a pressure-sensitive aniosotropic conductive rubber, and an insulation layer 3 and a fixed electrode 4 are provided inside this rubber layer 2, and a bias voltage B of the same polarity as a photoreceptor 7 is applied to the press-fitted part of the squeeze roller 1 being press- fitted to the surface of the photosensitive drum 7. Another electrode 4' is provided in the inside of the squeeze roller 1 of the press-fitted part to another conductive roller 5, and a voltage of the same polarity as the toner is applied it. In this constitution, by applying a sufficient bias voltage for removing the soiling, excess developer may be removed.
