Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent slipping under braking on a frozen road or the like, by actuating a moving plate through switch operation to open a sand dropping hole and sprinkle sand from a sand reservoir onto a wheel when a brake is applied.
CONSTITUTION: When a switch 1 is moved down, a current flows from a battery 17 to an electric moving section directly. When the switch is moved up, a brake 3 serves as a contact and a current flows form the battery 17 to the electric moving section and a pilot lamp 2 is lighted on. When the current flows through the electric moving section, a spring 12 is expanded by a solenoid 4 through the medium of a wire 10 and a moving plate 6 coupled with the wire 10 by a fitting hole 11 swings centering a shaft 7 and is pulled toward the electric moving section until the moving plate comes into contact with a stop plate 8. At that time, an upper sand dropping hole 15 is opened so that sand from a sand reservoir is sprinkled onto the upper part of a rear wheel through a sand pipe. This results in preventing slipping which is likely to occur when the brake is applied on a frozen road.
