Abstract

PURPOSE: To make an image of which phase is modulated under a laser beam of low output by a method wherein a specified recording material is coated on a base plate, a laser beam is radiated on it and further ultraviolet beam is radiated.
CONSTITUTION: A recording material 2 having a pigment (e.g. briliant green, methyrene green) having a high absorption characteristic and generating heat upon absorption of light, and having an organic substance (e.g. wax, nitrocellulose) to be evaporated at a low temperature is coated on a base plate to make a laser recording film. Laser beam 3 is radiated upon the film in response to information, focused onto the base plate 1 and the organic substance is evaporated by a heating of the pigment. Then, the ultraviolet beam is radiated upon the base plate to dissolve the pigment remained in the recording material. Recording may be facilitated if the laser produces a low output, resulting in that a laser display device and a holography movie etc. requiring a high condensed recording may be realized.
