Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the workability and performance, by forming open meshes on a laminated substrate of lead thin plate and plastic films by cutting and stretching. CONSTITUTION:The substrate sheet 6 is prepared by laminating stretchable plastic film 5' on both sides of a lead or lead alloy thin plate 4 core. The substrate is cut and stretched to form the grid 3 of rhombic open meshes. The stretchable plastic film is preferably a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl monomers containing polar functional groups of -COOR (where R is hydrogen, alkyl group, or alkaline metal). This plastic film may be placed between two sheets of lead or lead alloy thin plates. The substate sheet 6 may also be made by heat-bonding stretchable thermoplastic resin powder on both sides of a thin lead plate.
