Abstract
PURPOSE: The title filler capable of exhibiting sufficient filling effects by reaction injection molding, having improved adhesion to polyurethane, treated with an agent containing an organosilicon compound having a specific functional group and hydrolyzable silane group.
CONSTITUTION: A siliceous filler, e.g. glass fiber, is impregnated with an agent, e.g. a 0.001W10wt% solution, containing an organosilicon compound, e.g. HS- (CH2)3-Si(OCH3)3, having one or more functional groups selected from mercapto, isocyanate, imino groups, and halogen, and hydrolyzable silane group, most preferably having an alkoxysilane group of the formula Si(OR)m(Y)3-m (m is an integer 1W3; R is alkyl group; Y is organic group linked to the Si atom). The amount of the agent applied to the filler is preferably 0.01W0.5wt%. 5W50wt% based on the molded article of the treated filler is preferably kneaded with polymers.
