Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a picture selectively tinted with n sorts of colors or the mixture thereof by producing the color lapping before or after the liquid drips with n sorts of colors discharged independently from orifices in plural sticking to the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:A heater-substrate 101 is prepared by forming heating elements 103-1-103-11, a common electrode 104 and a selecting device 105 on a substrate 102. On a grooved plate 106 are provided eleven grooves 107-1-107-11 and communicating orifices 108 and 109 and each of the communicating orifices communicates with every other groove, while on these communicating orifices are provided two common liquid-chamber members 110 and 111 respectively. By feeding communicating orifices 108 and 109 with two different colors, the liquid drips discharged from adjacent orifices combine into one before their sticking to the recording surface of spread to each other after sticking, thereby producing the color lapping and thus two sorts of coloring and their mixture are obtained.
