Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain two coating-one baking system coating film which can be cured at a low temp. and excels in durability, gloss, finish appearance and voluminous appearance, by a method wherein a nonyellowing isocyanate prepolymer is used as a hardener component for the coating film and cured in the form of urethane.
CONSTITUTION: A paint contg. as main components, polyester polyol or polyacryl polyol having a number-averge MW of 2,000W12,000 and a nonyellowing isocyanate prepolymer, is coated. The coated surface is coated with a paint consisting mainly of a nonyellowing isocyanate prepolymer and a resin composed of polyacryl polyol having a number-average MW of 2.000W8.000 and polyester polyol having a number-average MW of 800W5,000 in a weight ratio of 99/1W1/19 of the polyacryl polyol to the polyester polyol. The isocyanate prepolymer and the resin contg. hydroxyl gp. are used in such a proportion as to give an equivatent ratio of OH to HCO of 1/0.5W1/1.5 when the paint is heated to cure it.
