Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain title composition which provides vulcanizates having excellent physical properties, by mixing an elastomer copolymer containing vinylidene fluoride and a different fluorine-containing monomer with a triphenylphosphine-1,4-benzoquinone adduct, a tert. amine and an oxide of a bivalent metal.
CONSTITUTION: The composition of the purpose is obtained by mixing (a) 100 pts.wt. of an elastomer copolymer containing vinylidene fluoride and at least one different fluorine-containing monomer, (b), as a vulcanizing agent, about 0.5W 5pts.wt. of a triphenylphosphine-1,4-benzoquinone adduct, (c), as a vulcanization accelerator, about 0.2W5pts.wt. of at least one member selected from a tert. phosphine, a tert. amine and an epoxy compound and (d), as a vulcanization accelerator aid, about 1W20pts.wt. of an oxide and/or hydroxide of a bivalent metal, such as magnesium oxide and calcium hydroxide.
