Abstract

PURPOSE: To correctly detect the load occured in rod sides of cylinders by communicating the rod sides of cylinders for driving up and down in a straddle carrier by means of pipings providing throttles on all the cylinder sides, and providing pressure gauges respectively between these throttles.
CONSTITUTION: A change-over valve 17 is changed over, pressured oil from a hydraulic pump 16 is fed for example through a piping 18 to rod sides of cylinders 1a, 1b for driving up and down, on the other hand, when oil on the head side is returned through a piping 20 to the tank 14, both cylinders 1a, 1b are moved back, sprockets 2a, 4a and 2b, 4b are sent down by piston rods. In consequence, hanging frames 9 and a container 23 which hangs and supports these frames 9 are sent up through chains 7a, 8a and 7b, 8b. In this case, internal pressure generated on the rod sides of the both cylinders becomes equal by actions of a torque shaft 10 and a piping 12, so that this internal pressure is monitored by a pressure gauge 13 to prevent overload.
