Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain excellent coating the outer surface of a pipe with thermoplastic resin by a device wherein a core support piece with a vertical regulation mechanism is provided near a nipple inside of a crosshead, while an extruding orifice located between the tips of the nipple and a die being formed to be a taper-like opening. CONSTITUTION:When a core 2 being coated with thermoplatic resin, a split die 1 having an inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the core 2 is fitted, while the position of a core support piece 21 being adjusted by a vertical regulation mechanism 22 so that the core 2 pass the central axis. When melted resin 8 is extruded continuously from an extruding orifice 10 located between the nipple 5 and a die 9, it is coated in the form of a pipe on the outer surface of the core 2. By the help of the taper-like opening, the melted resin 8 is coated on the core 2 at the angle an it has, thereby the possible drops or returns being eliminated. When a core 2' of minor diameter being coated, the split die is replaced with that of minor diameter 1', while the core support piece 21 is lifted for regulation so as for the core 2' to pass the center, by which the same coating can be secured.
