Abstract

PURPOSE: To control the frequency of an extra-high frequency active circuit by constituting the extra-high frequency active circuit by a FET and by irradiating an optical signal to this FET.
CONSTITUTION: FET22 in case 21 has gate 25 and drain 24 connected to cavity resonator 26 and waveguide 28 for output respectively and has source 23 grounded, thus constituting an extra-high frequency oscillator. Light L is irradiated to FET22 in case 21 through optical fiber 30, and FET22 controls the frequency and power of the extra-high frequency output according to intensity or wave length of light L. The extra-high frequency signal controlled in this manner is led out to output waveguide 28.
