Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce sorting time and eliminate sorting errors by comparing weight deviation from reference one of an article of eaach size with tolerable deviation in response to the output of a size discriminator.
CONSTITUTION: Packs 4a, 4b... for eggs, etc. have their sizes discriminated by a label discriminator 6. Signals of the sizes are converted from decimal discriminating signal to binary one to be stored in memories 20aW20g. When the packs are transferred from a feed-in conveyer 12 to a weighing converyer 22, a differential transformer 42 in the weighing conveyer 22 detects deviation from a predetermined weight to send it to the input of a zero-shift circuit 40. The output of the differential transformer 42 is added to the output for setting the center deviation of a setter in the zero-shift circuit 40 to be supplied to the input of the respective size comparators 68W74 through operational amplifiers. These inputs are compared with the lower limit of tolerable weight deviation for said each size. The results are indicated by lights on an indicator 90 having proper amount and shortage indicator sections.
