Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize a diaphragm pump and improve efficiency by arranging each operation chamber on both ends of the diaphragm and allowing the inside operation chamber of one pump and the outside operation chamber of the other pump to communicate with and by increasing the discharge flow amount twice. CONSTITUTION:The communication between the operation chamber 10a inside a diaphragm 7 and the operation chamber 8a outside the diaphragm 7 is intercepted hydraulically. A sealing element 19 is inserted into the shaft 4 penetrating part on a side plate 5, and the communication with the space for storing a movable element 3 is intercepted. Then, the inside operation chamber 10a of one pump 6 and the outside operation chamber 8a of the other pump 6 are allowed to communicate with through a communication passage 20. Said communication passage 20 is arranged through the outside of a yoke 1. Thus, when the pump 6 is driven, fluid is imbibed from a suction port 9a, and a pressure is applied, due to the movement of the diaphragm 7 in the axial direction, from the outside operation chamber 8a on one side and from the inside operation chamber 10a on the other side at a same time, and fluid is discharged from a discharge port 16.
