Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to continue operation of a synchronous motor with safety without commutation failure at the start of deceleration of the motor by driving the synchronous motor by a current type inverter device of the forced commutation system. CONSTITUTION:When a synchronous motor 5 is decelerated by lowering the speed reference signal which is the output of a deceleration reference circuit 10, the speed feedback signal output of a speed detector circuit 18 becomes larger than the speed reference signal and the polarity of the output signal of a speed control circuit 11 changes. A beta switching circuit 16 detects the change of polarity of the output signal of the speed control circuit 11 and produces an output signal which changes in steps, but it is converted into a signal which changes for predetermined time by a primary time-lag circuit 21. By a 1b phase control circuit 24, the phase of the output current of an inverter 4 is changed, for example, from beta=0 deg. to beta=150 deg. for a predetermined time. Consequently, there is no decrease in the commutation condenser voltage of the inverter 4 so that the deceleration of the motor can be accomplished with safety.
