Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent insufficient brake force due to the fault of front wheel brake, by fixing the relative position when the pistons of P valve (Proportioning valve) and G valve (Reduction sensing valve) approached each other more than predetermined level, thereby performing ideal brake force distribution from empty to max. loading.
CONSTITUTION: At first stage of braking, the master cylinder pressure is supplied through port 29, valve 10 and port 8 to rear wheel cylinder. When the liquid pressure increases to reach the critical pressure, valve 10 closes temporalily thereafter opens again to increase the brake pressure, but it is lower than initial one. When the speed reduction or the ratio between the braking force and the car weight reaches to certain level, the ball 28 moves to the left by the inertia thus to choke the valve sheet 30, and the liquid pressure of chamber 14 applying on the piston 13 is fixed to the pressure at that time. Since said pressure increases proportionally with the car weight, the piston 13 moves to the right against the springs 23, 24, 25 thus to increase the pushing force of plunger 13. Consequently the critical liquid pressure of valve 10 increases with the increase of car weight.
