Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a plunger guide from being deformed by high hydraulic pressure of in a solenoid valve in which the magnetic poles are spaced from each other with an appropriate distance therebetween on the peripheral surface of the plunger guide, by interposing a ring of a non-magnetic material between the magnetic poles.
CONSTITUTION: A plunger 6 is caused to slidingly move in a plunger guide 4 by a control of current to be passed through an electromagnetic coil 2. At that time, a valve member 7 is separated from a valve seat 1c to cause an inlet port 1a to communicate with an outlet port 1b. When the coil 2 is deenergized, the plunger 6 is thrusted by a spring 8 and the valve member 7 is pressed against the valve seat 1c. The pressurized contact of the valve member 7 is maintained by the attractive force a magnetic pole 5b via the plunger 6. The separation of the valve member 7 from the valve seat 1c is maintained by the attractive force of another magnetic pole 5a through the plunger 6. A solenoid valve is built in such a manner. A ring 10 of a non-magnetic material is interposed between the magnetic poles 5a, 5b on the peripheral surface of the guide 4 to prevent it from being deformed by high hydraulic pressure.
