Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent hydrogen gas from flowing into a turbine-side oil discharge pipe irrespective of resistance of an air discharge pipe, by a method wherein an automatic open-close mechanism composed of a discharged-oil reservoir and a float valve is arranged in an air extraction tank.
CONSTITUTION: Used bearing lubricating oil and used sealing oil flowing into an air extraction tank 8 is stirred by baffle plates 16 in the tank 8, so that air and hydrogen gas are extracted from the used oil. Then the oil flows over a partition plates 19, down to an oil discharge port 20, and flows into a discharged-oil reservoir 22 through an outflow port 21. The oil in the reservoir 22 flows over a central partition plate 23, down to an oil discharge chamber, and flows through a float valve 29 and a valve seat 31 into a connection pipe 26, before flowing into an oil discharge pipe 15. In this case, there is a positional distance h between the top edge of the plate 19 and that of the plate 23, the valve 29 is opend, and the discharged oil is full to the top edge of the plate 23, so that hydrogen gas is prevented from flowing into the pipe 15.
