Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the control of a motor in a slip feeding mechansim by switching a segmented gear in engagement with a full toothed gear to feed the slip at low speed in normal direction and at high speed in revserse direction.
CONSTITUTION: A slip feeding motor 7 is rotated through segmented gears 8, 9 engaged with a pinion gear 10. While the gear 8 is engaged with the pinion gear 10, the gear 10 is rotated in the same direction as the motor 7, when the gear 8 is disengaged from the gear 10, the gear 9 is immediately engaged with the gear 10 to rotate the gear 10 in reverse direction to the motor 7. The gear 10 is rotated faster in the same direction as the motor 7 than in the reverse direction to the motot 7. The feeding direction and speed of the slip 2 can be altered without changing the rotating direction and speed of the motor 7.
