Abstract

PURPOSE: Title injection moldable material which can provide moldings of constant quality, prepared by mixing an unsaturated polyester having a melting point higher than room temperature with a crosslinking agent, reinforcing material and filler, such as white sand fine powder or glass fine powder.
CONSTITUTION: A dry injection moldable material is produced by mixing an unsaturated polyester prepared from an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid component such as fumaric acid or maleic acid, and a glycol component, such as ethylene glycol or propylene glycol, and having a melting point higher than room temperature with a crosslinking agent, reinforcing material, polymerization initiator, filler, and the like. As the filler, at least one filler selected from the group consisting of white sand powder, white sand balloon, glass powder, glass bead and glass balloon, and having a particle size below 200μ is used as such or after surface treatment with a higher fatty acid, higher alcohol or coupling agent. The filler is present in the moldable material in an amount of 8W15wt%. Optionally, a flame retardant, coloring agent or the like is added.
