Abstract
PURPOSE: To filter and separate activated sludge, by floating a porous water permeable body on the water surface as a filtering surface.
CONSTITUTION: The raw water to be filtered flows in from the lower surface of a porous water permeable body 2 of a filtering surface, and is filtered and discharged out of a treating tank 10 from a launder 7' disposed in a cleaning chamber 5 through a filtered and treated water effluent pipe 7. A filtering surface cleaning part 4 is provided in a position opposing to the lower surface of the filtering surface 2. Moving is enabled by a truck 14 which moves on a float member 3 by means of a wheel 13. A pump 6 is placed on the truck 14, and is communicated with the filtering surface cleaning part 4 by means of a piping 15. The delivery port of the pump 6 is connumicated with a filtering surface cleaning water discharge pipe 16, and the filtering surface cleaning water is returned to proper parts. By operating the pump 6 and truck 14, violent suction water flows are created from the opening part of the filtering surface cleaning part 4. The suspended solid captured on the filtering surface is sucked, separated, and removed to be discharged out of the system from the cleaning water discharge pipe 16.
