Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to increase the engine output sufficiently, whithout increasing the amount of noxious gases contained in the exhaust gas, by increasing the incremental rate of the quantity of injected fuel for a certain liminted while at the time of acceleration shortly after starting of engine.
CONSTITUTION: In case that a signal relating to the quantity of intake air is afforded from air-flow meter 5 to acceleration detecting circuit 12 and the incremental rate of (the signal of) the quantity of intake air is higher than a certain value, it is judged that engine is in acceleration and an acceleration signal is given to fuel-increasing circuit 13. Here, output from another acceleration detecting circuit 14, adapted for detecting that throttel valve 101 provided in intake pipe 100 is opened from its fully closed position, is also given to the fuel-increasing circuit 13. When acceleration signals are afforded from acceleration detecting circuits 12, 14, fuel- increasing circuit 13 is operated to enrich the mixture by increasing the time width.
