Abstract

PURPOSE: To integrally dispose three photoelectric element arrays on the same plane and improve detection accuracy by trisecting the light from photographing lens by a prism or the like and letting the same enter three photoelectric element arrays respectively.
CONSTITUTION: The light from photographing lens is reflected by the mirrors 12, 13, 14 in a prism 21 to be trisected downward and is entered onto three photoelectric arrays 15, 16, 17 respectively. The output signals from the respective photoelectric element arrays are compared in an arithmetic circuit and focusing is detected. Since the photoelectric element arrays are integrated by the frame body, the light from the photographing lens is detected by the three photoelectric element arrays at the imaging plane and before and behind the imaging plane. In a focused state, the output of the photoelectric element placed on the imaging plane becomes largest. This constitution enables the proximate disposition of the respective photoelectric element arrays, makes positioning easy and permits the improvement in detection accuracy.
