Abstract

PURPOSE: To cool gas-turbine blades efficiently and uniformly, by ejecting cooling water onto the surface of outer plating from an inserted body having a hollow inside chamber and disposed on the inside of said outer plating with some clearance, and issuing mixture of cooling air and steam thus produced to the outside of blade through apertures formed in the outer plating.
CONSTITUTION: Gas-turbine stator blade 10 is consisted of outer plating 11, insered body inside 12, chamber 14, clearance 15 formed between outer plating 11 and inserted body 12, etc. The inserted body 12 is formed with a plurality of apertures 16 for ejecting coolant, for instance, to the portion of outer plating 11 located at the leading edge of turbine blade where the amount of heat transmitted to the stator blade 10 is fairly large, that is, coefficient of heat transfer on the gas-side blade surface is high, and also a plurality of apertures 17A, 17B for ejecting coolant onto the protion of outer plating 11 located at the throat of blade on the convex side thereof. On the other hand, the outer plating 11 is formed at the leading edge protion of blade with a plurality of apertures 18 for ejecting coolant from clearance 15 to the outside of blade 10 and forming a film of coolant over the blade surface. Further, apertures 19 and 20 are formed respectively at the throat portion on the convex side of blade and at the trailing edge portion of the same.
