Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable firm coating with a uniform thickness even on a perforated substrate, by making molten plastic into a sheet by the first die lip and heating and tightly bonding the plastic sheet by the second die lip. CONSTITUTION:Molten plastic 3 is supplied to a manifold 5 and conveyed from the manifold to a restrictor 6. At the restrictor, the molten plastic 3 is extruded from the first die lip 7 so that a plastic sheet 13 of prescribed thickness is made and goes to a space 8. Compressed air is supplied into the space 8 through holes 10 if necessary. When a substrate 2 having holes 12 is passed through a coating gap 4, the plastic sheet 13 conveyed along projections 11 is thrusted onto the substrate 2 by the compressed air. The plastic sheet is thrusted by the second die lip 9 and heated so that the sheet is tightly bonded on the substrate. This results in providing a molded piece coated with a plastic layer 14.
