Abstract
PURPOSE:To control directivity of a magnetic head to produce the head which is difficult to receive external induction noise, by removing the window of a head shield case by etching while measuring the induction noise voltage of the assembled magnetic head arranged between parallel magnetic fields. CONSTITUTION:Resistor liquid is applied to an assembled magnetic head as shown by oblique lines while leaving the part around one side of window 1a of shield case 1 (the side near head gap 3) with the same width as width W of window 1a as it is. Next, the magnetic head H above is arranged in etching liquid 7 of vessel that magnetic field 8 from magnetic field generator 9 may agree with the front vertical direction of head H, and the magnetic head is etched while detecting the output of magnetic head H by amplifier 10 and vacuum tube voltmeter 11; and when the induction voltage from head H becomes zero, the magnetic head is lifted to stop etching, thus producing the magnetic which is difficult to receive external induction noise.
