Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize charging amount to a capacitor constant and make the circuit simple by constantly inputting the charging voltage of the capacitor to a comparator and letting the comparator turn OFF a switching element when the capacitor voltage reaches the desired value.
CONSTITUTION: As a capacitor C3 is charged, the voltage being inputted to the input I2 of a comparator Q1 via voltage dividing resistor groups R5, R6, R7 becomes gradually higher. When this voltage becomes equal to the voltage inputted to the input I1 of the comparator Q1, the comparator Q1 goes OFF and the transistor Q2 goes OFF, causing a light emitting diode Q4 to go OFF and stopping charging to the capacitor C3. Next, when the electric energy of the capacitor C3 turns ON the trigger switch R2 of the welding machine to let the welding machine operate, then the comparator Q1 again goes ON and current is supplied to a rectifier D4, by which charging to the capacitor C3 is started. When the voltage of the capacitor C3 reaches the specified value, a thyristor Q4 goes OFF to stop the current to the capacitor C3.
