Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the low-frequency oscillation which takes place when a plurality of AC motors, which are operated in parallel with one another through a single inverter, are started separately, by setting the inductance-current characteristic of a DC reactor at a specific value.
CONSTITUTION: The plural motors M1∼Mn are energized by a power source 1 through the DC reactor 2, a filter circuit made of a capacitor 3, the three-phase AC output inverter 4 and a switch 6. The inductance of the DC reactor is made inversely proportional to the current so that the inductance is equal to Lo/N.Io whrer Lo represents the value of the inductance when only one motor is started and N.Io represents the average current when all the motors are driven. Therefore, the voltage dropped through the DC reactor 2 hardly vary despite the increase in the number of the load motors.
