Abstract

PURPOSE: To absorb thermal expansion by heating of strip form heating elements by so fabricating the strip form heating elements that they become elongatable elastically in their lengthwise direction and fixing these in the state of applying tension in their lengthwise direction to substrates.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of strip form heating elements 4 which has undergone bending are parallel installed orthogonal to the advancing direction of recording paper, between the substrates 3a, 3b and 3c, 3d which are composed of heat-resisting insulation material and are specially opposedly disposed by way of the conveying path of the recording paper. In this installation, the heating elements 4 which has been bent zigzag are slightly elongated and are screwed 5 between 3a, 3b and 3c, 3d. Hence, the thermal expansion of the strip form heating elements 4 is effectively absorbed in the bent portions and no sagging occurs and therefore touching of the strip form heating elements to recording paper and other metal parts to cause ignition and shorting will not occur.
