Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the insulating strength at the curved portion of coil-end and the utilization rate of material, by using a rectangular member formed from an electrically insulating cylindrical thin leaf material as an insulator between different phases by bending it at four locations thereof.
CONSTITUTION: As an insulator 10 between different phases which is used between the coil-end portion 72 of the main coil and the coil-end portion 82 and curved portion 83 of an auxiliary coil (having a current phase different from that of the main coil), an insulator formed from a electrically insulating thin leaf material such as polyethylene-terephthalate is utilized after it is bent and molded. This insulator 10 is molded into a rectangular shape by bending the thin leaf material initially formed into a cylindrical shape, and one opposite pair of its sides are disposed within the slots 5 and the other opposite pair of sides are disposed between the coil- ends 72 and 82, and the bent portions 11, where the insulator is doubled, are disposed at the curved portions of the coil-end.
