Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve the reduction in the abrasion and damage of tape by providing a guide which lets the tape after having formed a sag be wound on the outermost circumference of winding part.
CONSTITUTION: A tape 21 after having formed a sag 36 is guided by a plate form guide 38 provided on an annular body 22 to jump over an annular body 22 and tape winding part 21' and is taken up on the outermost circumference of the tape winding part 21'. The tape 21 generates constant tension at the position of the sag 36 during high speed runnng. This tension is applied as back tension upon the tape in the tape winding part 21'. When the length of the tape 21 varies, for example, elongates, the sag 36' elongates along the peripheral part of a capstan 30 like 36'. Hence, the vibrations of the tape 21 from the tape driving mechanism up to the outermost circumference of the tape winding part 21' and the variations of the gap between the tapes at the tape winding part 21' are suppressed and therefore the tape 21 may be high at a high speed stably.
