Abstract

PURPOSE: To make obtainable the straightened product at high accuracy through the simple operation, by correcting the position of the roll on the exit side so as to change the curvature once or more times depending on the difference between the operated value under the assumption that the material to be straightened is really straight and the actually detected value.
CONSTITUTION: The position detector 6 for the vertical position is arranged for the lower roll 2a on the exit side of the automatic steel shape straightener, the position detector 12 for the upper and lower position is arranged for the measuring roller 7, and the position detecting roller 13 is arranged on the upper face of the material to be straightened so as to contact each other.
