Abstract

PURPOSE:To shift the frequency band of input signal merely through simple adjustment by having an up-chirp filter and a down-chirp filter. CONSTITUTION:The pulse signal from a pulse generator 7 is inputted as inpulse to a chirp filter 8' and is also inputted to a chirp filter 10' via pulse delaying device 9. The chirp signals are mixed with the CW signal from a CW oscillator and only the frequency component being a difference is extracted by a low-pass filter 26. At the same time, the frequency band of the chirp signal is halved and is converted to the chirp signals which mixers 3, 4 demand. The chirp signals are mixed with the CW signal from the CW oscillator and only the frequency component being the sum is extracted by a high-pass filter 27 and is converted to the chirp signal that a mixer 11 demands.
