Abstract

PURPOSE:To absorb the radial contraction of an inner vessel by the creased parts of circumferential restricting members interposed between the inner vessel and outer vessel and prevent the sliding of the inner vessel by the circumferential shearing rigidity of the members, by providing a plurality of unit plates as the members. CONSTITUTION:The low-temperature double-shell cylindrical tank having a flat bottom and a dome-shaped roof consists of the outer vessel 2 on a foundation 1 and the inner vessel 5 separated from the outer vessel by a bottom heat insulator 3 located on the bottom plate of the outer vessel 2, a side plate and a heat insulator such as pearlite located in the roof.
