Abstract

PURPOSE: A resin composition having improved flame retardancy free from problems of safety, environmental pollution, and processability, comprising a specific resin and melamine cyanurate.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 parts by wt. of a resin selected from thermosetting resins, such as phenolic, amino, epoxy, unsaturated polyester resins, etc., thermoplastic resins, such as polyolefin, styrene, vinyl acetate, acrylic, polyether, polycarbonate, polyeter, unethane resins, etc. is incorporated with (B) 3W50 parts by wt., preferably 5W30 parts by wt. of melamine cyanurate which is obtained by reacting melamine with cyanuric acid.
