Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the processing ability and delivery efficiency of storage exchanging station, by changing the packet length according to the quality of line of delivery path. CONSTITUTION:The number of deliverd packet to each delivery path 6 is counted with the delivery packet number counter 8 present in the area 7 in the memory unit 4, and CPU 3 reads out the number of redelivered packet number represented with the counter 9 for the redelivery packet number when the delivered packet number reaches a given number, comparing the redelivered packet number to a given delivery packet number with the numeral corresponding to the packet number represented with the table 10. Further, with the redelivery packet number greater than the upper limit number 11 of the table 10, the line quality is judged as defective, shortening the delivery packet length, and with smaller redelivery packet number than the lower limit value 12, the quality is judged as excellent, enlarging the delivery packet length within the permissible range of the overall memory capacity.
