Abstract

PURPOSE: To surely align scanning start point and end point on each scanning line by providing a half mirror between holograms on a rotary disc and an inspection face and providing a shield plate having slits orthogonal onto the scanning lines that the photo detector draws on the plit beams thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A multiplicity of holograms 7 are so arrayed on a rotary disc 2 that their diffraction angles vary little by little subsequently. The light from a laser light source is split with a half mirror 4 and the light having transmitted therethrough radiates an inspection face 5 and draws the scanning lines 13 of the number corresponding to the number of the holograms with the deviations in the diffraction directions of the holograms 7. These are detected with a photoelectric transducer 8 and are sent to an electric circuit system 9. The light having reflected by the half mirror 4 also similarly draws the scanning lines 13 corresponding to the number of the holograms on a shield plate 10. Since two slits 12, 12' are formed on the shield plate 10, a photo detector 11 sends the signal of the waveforms like the ones shown in the figure to the electric circuit system 8 when the light passes the slits. In the positions of the slits 12, 12' are beforehand corresponded to the start and end positions of the inspection region of the inspection face 5, then the start and end points of the signals from the transducer 8 will be known.
