Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain broad-band and excellent characteristics with a little deterioration of characteristics against the variation in incident angle by making the thickness of a dielectric board a half as thick as the wavelength of a center frequency and by providing two-layer matching layers with a quarter wavelength before and after it. CONSTITUTION:Dielectric board 4 is for an antenna radome and has a thickness a half as thick as the wavelength of the center frequency, and matching layers 5 and 6 made of two layers a quarter wavelength are provided before and after it. Those matching layers 5 and 6 use an impedance transfomer of a two-stage Chevichef type and its pass loss is extremely small. Consequently, the radome has broad-band characteristics and a little deterioration in characteristcs against the variation in incident angle, and can get excellent characteristics.
