Abstract

PURPOSE: To let the specific compounds out of the compounds having been used thus far as photoconductive substances act as a charge-transfer substance and solve the defects that cannot be satisfied in terms of sensitivity by using said compounds in combination with charge carrier generating pigments.
CONSTITUTION: The photosensitive layer containing charge carrier generating pigments and one or more kinds of charge-transfer substances such as those of the formula I [X, X', Y, Y', are H, (substituted) phenyl, alkyl; Ar, Ar' are (condensed) aromatic carbo-cyclic groups, (condensed) heterocyclic groups], formula II [R1, R2 are aryl substituted by N, Ni-di substituted amino groups (including heterocyclic groups whose N is ring forming atoms): said aryl is (substituted) phenyl, (substituted) naphythyk], formula III (R3 thru R6 are H, lower alkyl, halongen) or formula IV [R7 thru R10 are (substituted) aryl; substituting groups are alkyl, alkoxy, amino, halogen] is provided on a conductive base.
