PURPOSE:To prevent the enlarging of machined groove width and improve accuracy in wire-cut electrical discharge machining which uses a wire electrode by automatically controlling the discharge conditions such as discharge voltage, discharge energy, etc. CONSTITUTION:A work 1 is fixed on a table 3 which can be fed in x-axis and Y- axis directions, and the moving direction of the table 3 is controlled by the numerical control signals from an NCN device 10. Machining pulses are applied to a wire 2 and the work 1 from a power source 7 and the work 1 is machined. When the direction of machining is changed to bend, machining pulse voltage is decreased to prevent the enlarging of the corner part D, the consumption of E and the enlarging of the grove width on account of machined dust, and high accuracy machining is always performed.
