Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent breaking of wire by lightning stroke by providing a semiconductive layer around the insulated conductor near an insulating suporter and a conductive wire winding around the semiconductor to decrease the arc current of lightning stroke effectively.
CONSTITUTION: Wrapping an insulated wire 1, stringed on poles through insulators 3, with a semiconductive layer 4 near the insulator 3. Fixing a conductive wire 5 at the center thereof 51 on the insulator 3, and winding the residual portion 52 of the wire 5 on the semiconductive layer 4 spirally. Conductive carbon containing plastic or rubber with surface resistivity of 103 to 107 Ω/cm is usable as a semiconductive layer 4. A copper with coated with good conductive metal such as copper or aluminium is useful as a conductive wire 5.
