Abstract
PURPOSE:To make possible the random access to any scene in a video tape by combining a machine hand, which is mounted in a crane, a magazine stacker and a video reproducer having a function of locating scenes. CONSTITUTION:In response to the retraction of a hook 14 along the gase 12 of a machine hand 3 which is movable in a vertical direction along a horizontally movable crane 4, the fixture 15 of any desired magazine 18 in a stacker 2 is held between a hook 14 and a push rod 13 and is confirmed by light emitting and receiving elements 17 and 16. After that, a magazine 18 is mounted in a desired reproducer 5 by the push of the rod 13. Then, the reproducer 5 read out the coded address signals and the que tone signals, which are recorded in a que tone track during the blanking period of a video tape, so that the desired scene is located. These operations are acceomplished through a controller 6 so that the random access to the desired scenes of the video tape of the multiple reproducers can be accomplished at a high speed through the controller 6.
