Abstract

PURPOSE: to control an output of a laser processor on the basis of the result of measurement of time which is needed by a laser beam reflected on the surface of a work before it has been turned to zero.
CONSTITUTION: A laser beam 12 emanated from a laser generator 11 is condensed by a condenser 13 onto a portion to be processed of a work 14. The laser beam reflected on the portion to be processed of the work 14 is detected by a photo multiplier 16 via an intermediate lens 15. The time needed by the reflected laser beam before it has been turned go zero is measured and an output of a laser processor is controlled on the basis of the time measured.
