Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a device which detects the fall of the liquid level of a storage tank, and which, when the liquid level falls below the specified value, automatically increases the number of pumps in operation as required and thereby quickly restores the liquid level of the storage tank to the specified level at the time of emergency restoration.
CONSTITUTION: Suppose that electric power failed during the operation of pumps 2aW2e and that the liquid level of storage tank abnormally fell below the specified value. When power supply in recovered under this condition it becomes possible to control pumps 2aW2e, liquid level setting circuit 13 produces an output and closes contact points 32W35. Then, start switch 21 is closed and the first pump, say, pump 2a, starts operation. Then, after a fixed time, contact point 42 is closed. As a result, the second pump say, pump 2b, starts operation, and if the liquid level of storage tank 5 remains below the specified value after a specified time following the operation of the second pump, the third pump starts operation as contact point 43 is closed.
