Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to use a long sedimentation tube without increasing the radius of rotation of the rotor for use in the centrifugal separator.
CONSTITUTION: Bucket suspension 23 bends and extends upward, and fastening pin 24 is provided on the upper side of body proper 21. That is, the turning center of bucket 2 is set on the upper side of body proper 21. As a result, since there is no part of body proper 21 that would obstruct the swing motion of the tip of sedimentation tube 3, it is possible to use a sedimentation tube of length less than 1/2 of the radius of the longest rotor 20. That is, it is possible to use a long sedimentation tube, and there is no need of increasing the radius of rotation of the rotor. Consequently, it is possible to reduce the size of the centrifugal separator without enlarging the rotor chamber. Further, since the load of the motor does not increase, it is possible to increase the number of revolutions up to the set value without increasing the power of the motor.
