Abstract

PURPOSE:To quickly the height of vehicle, by detecting the pressure in oil feed passages or the pressure of an oil pressur source and by closing a pressure switch and increasing the idling rotational frequency of the engine driving the pump of the oil pressure source when said pressure drops below a predetermined level. CONSTITUTION:When the pressure in the oil feed passages 22, 22' for suspension units 1, 2 drops below the predetermined level P1, this is detected to close the switch 40 to energize a solenoid 62a of a changeover valve. Then, an external air inlet port 62b is closed, a negative pressure inlet port 62c is opened, a diaphragm unit 66 is operated, and an operating rod 66e is displaced to turn an arm 67 in the corresponding direction. Simultaneously, a throttle valve 64 is slightly opened so that the idling rotational frequency of the engine is increased. Therefore, the discharge quantity of the pump is raised, the accumulation of pressure in an accumlator 20 is rapidly performed, and a large variation in the height of the vehicle is quickly made.
