Abstract
PURPOSE:Weaving of rolled belt member is prevented by improving its response to weave correcting function. To do so, a mechanism for producing tension difference is incorporated into a back-tension apparatus for belt member. CONSTITUTION:When a belt material 7 weaves, an unillustrated edge detector finds the weaving and drives a motor 6. Then, through worm reduction gear 5, bearings 3,4 move vertieally each to different hights, causing a roller 1 to take a inclined position. The inclined roller 1 causes, in belt material 7, a different degree of deflection at both edges, and a back tension difference also occurs. The back tension difference caused at both edges of beet 7 is united with unbalanced speed distribution, causing the speed distribution to change from an unstable condition to a constant stable condition, and thus belt weaving is prevented.
