Abstract
PURPOSE: When detecting differential voltage between two input voltages, to eliminate unnecessary function by providing Ziner diode to limit the sensibility at low voltage region thereby detecting differential level only when input voltage is normal.
CONSTITUTION: When outputs from input circuits 1, 2 of main and sub PD voltage are supplied through rectifier 3 and smoothing circuits 4, 5 to polarity decision circuit 6 where the levels are compared to produce output from output circuit 7, Zener diodes 17, 18 are provided at the input of polarity decision circuit 6. Since the sensibility at low voltage region is limited by Zener voltage of Zener diodes 17, 18, PD fault is detected only when two PD input voltages are normal, thereby unnecessary function under transient condition such as occurrence or removal of fault can be eliminated.
