Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a detergent supplying apparatus for washer, consisting of a water supplying cast and a detergent receptacle, in which water mixed with detergent is fed to the washing tank from an overflow port in the detergent receptacle, and a hole for drawing residual water in the detergent receptacle is provided in the receptacle, whereby cleaning performance of detergent can be exerted promptly by use of a proper or relative small amount of detergent.

CONSTITUTION: Detergent receptacle 28 is drawn out to put detergent therein and then it is pushed back into water supplying case 30. When water is supplied to receptacle 28 from water inlet port 31 connected to water supplying hose 10, detergent and water are mixed in the receptacle 28. Overflow port 37, located lower than the height of peripheral wall of receptacle 28, is divided by a partition plate 39 and is formed with a multiplicity of apertures. Mixture of detergent and water flows over overflow port 37. Here, if a large amount of such mixture is filled in the receptacle, and passing through conduits 34, 35, joins with the mixture supplied from overflow port 37, whereafter it is supplied into washing tank. Residual water in receptacle 28 is drawn out from a small hole 40 opened at an inward lower end portion of the receptacle 28, which is of such a size that may not allow leakage of detergent from the hole 40.
